Juan Carlos Vargas is a visual effects artist, filmmaker and Emmy-nominated VFX supervisor with 3 decades of experience in the industry and over 100 credits in film and television.

A graduate of the Cinema/Television Production Department at the University of Southern California, he has worked on films such as Spider-Man (2002), X-Men, Fantastic Four (2005 and 2025), Zack Snyder's 300, as well as several other Marvel Universe projects; and on TV shows such as The Walking Dead, Gotham, Westworld, The Orville and For All Mankind. He has also provided graphics and animation for several NASA missions and projects.

His short film Man vs. Woman won best film at the Comic-Con International Film Festival as well as many other national and international awards.
